Natasha Deane Ph.D.
Born in 1961 in St. Louis, Missouri, Natasha studied Biology and Medicine at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island. John and Natasha met in 1987 while living in St. Louis where John was working with Natasha’s father, Neville Grant, M.D., a prominent physician leader at Washington University Medical Center. The two were married in the spring of 1988.
Natasha studied Virology at the University of Texas Medical Branch on Galveston Island while John served as Executive Director of the University’s Faculty Practice Plan. While living on Galveston Island, Natasha and John had two daughters.
For over 11 years, Natasha served as Research Associate Professor of the Department of Surgery at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. She currently serves the Episcopal Diocese of Tennessee in a Bishop appointed role as well as two non-profit boards: Greenways for Nashville and One Voice Nashville.
